Awagami's interior/wallcovering line "A-WALL" received an award from 2008 GOOD DESIGN.
- the wallcovering with Japanese tradition and modern style -
Through the centuries, the traditional Japanese architects had been formed with simple and local materials, such as woods for the basic structure, clay for walls and paper for SHOJI screen doors. The houses kept people out from a heat in Summer and warm them up during Winter as the structure and materials they used for buildings were perfectly adapted by the Japanese climate and people's style of living. It is our forerunner's integration of their knowledge and experiences, which were cultivated for over many years.
Awagami Factory presents the wallcovering, which we made the most of our ancestors' knowledge and transferred into the interior material that can be adapted by the today's living and modern style.
