I visited Gregory Colberts exhibition Ashes and Snow in May 17th. The exhibition site is located at Hudson River Park Pier 54 in New York City and is made from cargo containers and paper cores normally used for building construction. It is designed by architecture Shigeru Ban. The art works of this exhibition were done on what we call Gregory paper and used photographic technique to convey images of the fusing of animal, people and natural world, was my interpretation of his work
I thought this may be an appealing subject for the people in today who live in this savage society.
Of course no photography is allowed inside of the site but you can enjoy the atmosphere and some works at his website (www.ashesandsnow.org). If you would like to get some atmosphere of the paper he used, please visit us at the hall!
The show in New York will end in June 6, 2005 and will travel to Los Angeles, Paris and Beijing.
