The application for 36th Handmade Papermaking Workshop is started!
As Awagami's annual event, we will have 5 days of intense papermaking workshop in August of 2018.

At this workshop, the course will be covering basic traditional method of papermaking; preparing Kozo bark for cooking, cleaning, beating the fiber and papermaking to drying. This workshop is not only for the people who are already working closely with paper but also for any levels of people who have interests how traditional papers are made and willing to have more knowledge about Japanese paper in general.

Participation Fee
68,000 yen (includes Japanese-style 'Bento' lunchbox)
* Fee does not include accommodation.
* Cancellation policy:
In the event of a cancellation, the following cancellation fee plus an administration fee of 800 yen will be applied to the refund.
Cancellation after August 1 or no-show : 100 % participation fee
Cancellation from July 1 - 31 : 50 % participation fee
Cancellation prior to June 30 : 20 % participation fee

Fees can be paid via PayPal or credit card.
Reservations will be complete upon receipt of both the application form and the participation fee.
Payment amount: 70,720 yen (68,000 yen participation fee + 2,720 administration fee)

Accommodation >>
Along with the enrollment, we will book an accommodation at ABURAYA inn for you as this is the most convenient inn.(Please let us know if you prefer to arrange other accommodation by yourself.)
Awagami will make your booking but you will pay directly at ABURAYA inn.

- ABURAYA Inn accommodation fee (per person): 8,640 yen per night, including breakfast and dinner.

Visit one of the most famous Summer festivals in Japan!
The 'AWA ODORI' dance festival takes place during the Obon season in Japan (Aug. 12 to 15). Take advantage of visiting Tokushima for the workshop during the Obon season, and enjoy this amazing festival too!
