SHIFU, traditional Japanese paper string lends its name to these Awagami art panels. Contrasting natural pigments and a double-layered composition provide a wonderful balance in each textured piece. Because of subtle variations in organic pigment (indigo & persimmon), each panel is a unique work unto itself; a beautiful ode to nature and the Japanese craft tradition. Packed in a presentation box, each piece is unique unto itself (with slight variations in color and texture) signed and stamped by collaborators Craig Anczelowitz & Mieko Fujimori.
