Offered internationally for the first time, this high quality handmade paper is unique among Awagami washi. Each sheet is crafted from a mix of prized Mitsumata & Kozo fibers and hand-coated with organic Konnyaku (Japanese yam) afterwards to add strength and improve overall water-resistance. These acid-free sheets are warm white with a subtle 'laid' surface, crisp texture and 4 deckled edges. Because the konnyaku coating makes the papers less porous, it is an interesting alternative for printmaking, watercolor, paper cutting arts, alt. pro printing, drawing, etc. Very unique
