How to download & install Awagami Factory ICC profiles…
ICC profiles are an essential part of a color-calibrated print workflow. There is a unique ICC profile for each paper on every printer model. Once installed, the ICC profile is available to any application installed on your computer that supports color management.
- Select your printer brand and model
- Select the profile(s) for the paper(s) on which you plan to print.
- Click download. Profiles will be saved to the download folder you have specified on your computer. For Mac OS, the default folder is ‘Downloads’ in your user folder. For Windows, the default folder is ‘Downloads’ located in My Computer.
-
Install the ICC profile(s) into the appropriate system folder:
- Mac OS: Macintosh HD>username>Library>ColorSync>Profiles. The library folder is hidden by default. One of the easiest ways to locate it is using the Go menu in the finder. From the finder menu (at the top of your screen) click on the Go menu. Hold down the ‘Option’ key on your keyboard, and Library should appear on the list. Select Library from the list, and in the window that opens then select the ColorSync folder, then the Profiles folder. Drag the ICC profiles from your download folder to the Profiles folder. Once moved, your ICC profiles are correctly installed and will be available to all applications installed on your computer.
- Windows: Windows>System32>Spool>Drivers>Color. You can open the Color folder from your hard drive and move the profiles from your download folder. Alternately, locate the ICC profiles in your Downloads folder, right click on the ICC profile, and select ‘Install Profile’ from the menu. The profile will be copied to the Color folder, and is then available to all applications installed on your computer.
- You may need to quit and re-open your imaging applications after installing ICC profiles so they appear in the color management menu.
