This fine Mitsumata paper has been skilfully handmade by Awagami master papermaker, Satomi-san from locally harvested / slow-growing Mitsumata fiber. Each sheet weighs only 31 gsm, has a faint 'laid' yet smooth surface and 4 deckled edges. Slightly softer than Kozo, Japanese consider Mitsumata to be a bit more "feminine" and elegant than Kozo. HIghly recommended for professional printmakers, Mitsumata sheets are natural warm white and absorb color lusciously. A very special handmade paper.
