Koshin fine printmaking barens (光進ばれん) are handmade here in Japan for traditional mokuhanga woodblock printmaking. 10 & 12 cm sizes are used for printing (woodblock -or- lino) on all washi weights / types. Barens are crafted with a coiled string core, leather-covered acrylic board and bamboo leaf sheath providing very good sliding performance while being both durable and affordable. Nicely packaged in hand-printed box.
